Where do you go
When the spotlight dims ?
Alone in a hotel room
With your crimes and sins
Words recited
Still in your mind
The mini bar
Whiskey and wine.
Cigarettes and ink
A blank page screams
The hours long
The moments seem
To mock your thoughts
Of whats ever been
Each careless city
Every town youve seen.
Tears in eyes
A poet chases sleep
Alone in time
A heart that weeps
Without notice
Eyes drift away
In that room
Farewell to say.

A poem of the poetic process where the pain and loneliness are put on a page. Nicely done

You are most welcome
Being a poet shows that the words come from a variety of places Norman, as has this one.
