Three Things Lost.

Goldfinch60

Three things you cannot recover,

Cannot recover in life.

The word after it is said,

Words once spoken echo far and wide.

The moment after it's missed,

Moments slip away like shadows at dawn.

The time after it's gone,

Time marches on, never pausing for regret,

Reminding us gently to cherish what we have.

So speak with kindness,

Seize each moment,

Treasure each day,

For these three, once lost, will never return

Never return your way.

Yes - I spent so long finding out what Carpe Diem meant, that by the time I found out, it was night-time and no day left to seize! Doh! It didn't help that I used a French dictionary instead of a Latin one. Do you have those sort of problems too?

      • Goldfinch60

Thank you Orchi. When I was at Grammer School back in the early sixties we had Latin in the first two years and I am sure that in the exam at the end of the secong year I still have the lowest ever mark. LOL

Hey Andy - you could write a Self Help book in the form of sonnets. Don't think it has ever been done before - the market would be wide open.☺️

              • Goldfinch60

I may give it a try Dave, thanks fo the advice. πŸ˜‚πŸ·πŸ˜‚
