What A Wonderful Evening.

Goldfinch60

What a wonderful evening,

Another evening of jazz.

The band came on the stage

And started playing and I was gone,

Gone into their musical world,

Where music and wonder came.

Bringing so much enjoyment to all,

To themselves as they played

And to the audience as we listened,

Listened to the wonderful music,

The wonderful music they played.

What happened to the time?

It went so fast

As every note came into my mind

And made my heart beat,

Beat to the music being played.

What a wonderful evening.

  • Comment from author about the poem: We went to our Jazz Club last night for a special performance by The Freetime Old Dixie Jazz Band, a band from Holland who were touring the country, we were there first stop. What a tremendous evening we had.
