From Sunrise and Then

Teddy.15

Did you ever sing a song at karaoke?

or ride a raft on a river rapid?

did you ever get to see a spectacular rainbow?

and wander where they came from?

did you ever leave your house in your slippers?

did you ever see a water spout?

did you ever jump in a rain puddle?

 like a five-year-old child?

did you ever taste a Knickerbocker glory?

or sit your bottom on a helter skelter slide?

did you dip your feet in the waves of spring?

did you ever get to stroke a magnificent barn owl?

did you ever climb a mountain, just to ski down in the sun?

what about steering a speed boat

or for charity do a marathon run?

did you finish first at the town hall fate

the egg and spoon holder race?

did you ever feel an earthquake under your feet?

did you ever feel the wind sweep through your hair?

questions I know, that will never be answered…

as I sit here imagining a sea of Lilly's of the valley

I sit here, I sit here and I weep.

Lovely list of life's joys and pleasures and can say I have done most, not the spoon race but a three legged race instead. Not a barn owl but a falcon. Well written and a pocket of dreams one pulls out from time to time that have filled a bucket list with a few still left to fill it.

I myself have done most of these although I'm still missing a couple. Thank you dearest sorrenbarret 🌹

Teddy, this hit me…that long stretch of questions feels almost playful at first, but then it turns, and the weight of it comes through. That ending lands with real emotion. Well done, dearest poet and friend. πŸŒΉπŸ–€πŸ™πŸ•―οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›

So many questions and so many memories Teddy, I do hope the tears were for the thoughts of wonderful memories of those times.

I do weep occasionally as the pub where we often go for lunch has not had knicker blocker glories on the menu for a while now. 🀣🍷🍺

It's too late he's gone, so yes I weep. Hopefully in his next life, we were dancing partners though πŸ’œ thank you dearest Andy. I prefer your weeping 🀣
