The insanity of it all
Is not knowing your worth
Your intrinsic value never fades or stumbles
The sun glistens on your favored face
Capturing your radiance
No folly befalls you
No ill defeats
Do not play small in this world
That may swallow you as the sparrow
Your eyes float with knowledge and beauty
Your significance reigns
Your destiny-
To be seen, to be heard
Valued as the prodigal
Your merit scrapes the skies
Your countenance lifts
Your mercy saves
Like the favor of the wind
You leave nothing behind
An indelible existence
Your grace grows as red poppies
Favored as a sun’s rise
Smooth as coffee at dawn
You are perpetual bliss
Belonging in all spaces
Filling big shoes
May you prosper long
May you know the mark you leave
May your world become because of you

An essential for self and when facing those that don’t recognise/respect this truth about ourselves 🕊️🙏🏻
It starts off on the right foot addressing the question of whether one knows themself and ends on the same one more assertively. It is only by knowing and accepting oneself that one can understand others and in effect wish them well. The last phrases fall as a blessing on others and it is in knowing oneself that this can be said. Nicely done Katie
Katie, this is a strong foundation…what you’ve built here is clear in its purpose and full of heart. Since you asked for feedback to make it "excellent", and I already think it is, I’d say this…you’ve got a lot of powerful affirmations, and tightening just a few of them would make the strongest lines stand out even more. Let a couple images carry more weight instead of saying everything at once. Your voice is solid throughout, just give those lines a little more space to breathe. But that is being super picky to honor your request in your comment. Beautiful intent, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Wonderful words Katie and so meaningful.
