he moved like an acrobat
while she moved
much like a ballerina might ..
maybe that’s why
they each fell in love with
someone else
but still kept a few things ..
most specifically,
the bars and the safety net ..
although of course
only for reference purposes ..

Neville this smacks of how some relationships work on one level but not another. Obligations make for a different game and there is greater excitement in freedom. A most pertinent write my friend
Life is a circus .. or that's what I have concluded since there are so many clowns around these days .. p.s. this comment has been copywritten & may well feature in my next proposed anthology called A Nuance for Old Times Sake .. Cheers, Neville
Most welcome Neville Cheers my friend
Neville, this lands with that quiet, knowing tone you do so wellβ¦thereβs a subtle wit here that doesnβt need to announce itself. It just settles in and lets the realization unfold. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬

Good write N.
Aye' right good lad .. hey, have you got any idea how crazy it makes me feel opening up like this to a ferret or wotever .. eh' Neville
Who took the bars and who took the safety net? Or did they make an exchange at predetermined intervals? and what was the precise nature of their relationship prior to... and what's more, did they both live happily ever after? Too many unanswered questions, Neville - you are going to have to pull your socks up (One of the great advantages of living in a warm climate is the lack of sock wearing activity for most of the year.)
You've got me beat mate, I shall endeavour to do whatever to get the answers you are so desirous to obtain .. maybe ππ
Do the best you can, man - no one can ask of you any more than that.
Clinging to something in case it may be needed, or in case it became an excuse to pay another visit. Never let go of everything. Although the acrobat and ballerina would be a hard act to follow. I doubt it's for reference. Maybe the acrobat could "bend over backwards' while the ballerina "stays on her toes"? A simile with a smile, or smirk. Loved it. - Phil A.
I do so like the cut of your jib brother Fences27 .. Cheers, Neville
Those bars and safety nets are in most of our lives Neville.
