show you

arqios

"show you"

Seasons are a fractal,

repeating the same geometry

in ice as it does in leaf.

To 'show' the fall is

to witness collapse;

I would rather you feel

the center of gravity—

the stillness in the marrow

that knows descent is coming

but does not flinch.

Thanks Katie B. Most appreciative of your time and esteem๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

This brings comparisons from different angles, mathematics, seasons, botanical structure, physics, physical reaction to motion. It has a deep philosophical tone in a simple structure much like nature itself and sends a strong message hidden under layers of images. Well done Cryptic a fave

That is a gladdening state of affairs. The poem did as it was intended to. Thank you dear Soren ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

good write my friend, much enjoyed

This feels like someone standing calm in the face of the drop, refusing to panic even as everything leans downward.
Thereโ€™s a quiet strength in itโ€”like knowing the fall is part of the pattern and choosing not to run.

Haha almost fatalistic ๐Ÿ™ƒ thanks my friend ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

        • Friendship

Nicely written. Your poem appears to be an invitation to embrace the stillness and acceptance that can accompany life's inevitable changes, rather than merely observing them as external phenomena.

First stanza message is astonishingly captured, and rings true to me.
That centre of gravity seems to be where my life is at for now, always anticipating the next cosmic mood swing....
              (This too, shall pass.)

arqios, this is quietly devastatingโ€ฆcalm on the surface, but carrying enormous weight underneath. โ€œDescent is coming / but does not flinchโ€ lands hard. Beautiful piece, my friend. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ

Just hope it doesn't peddle fatalism; like bring it but without the maudlinity ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Fractal. Geometry . Ice.Leaf. Center of gravity. Marrow. Descent. No flinch. You're not showing the fall. You're teaching the physics. Clearly written
