WORDS I DID NOT SAY

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

I could have
But I did not
Say the words
I should have done
In the night
Of dying embers
In the days
Of Summer sun.

I could have
But I did not
My words
Choked up inside
I did not reach
Nor ask
My heart
It tried to hide.

The reality
In its retrospect
In a moment
Slipped away
Almost callous
Silent heartbeat
Within  the words
I did not say.

Failure to act as much an error as acting wrongly. Well written in this poem

Sounds like regret or was it more a scent of misgiving? Time will tell. Thanks for the thought provoking, NormanπŸ™πŸ»πŸ•ŠοΈ

Good write N. Will you know the words that you didn't say? If you speak them, you will have said them! lol.

Those words are still within your mind Norman and one day you will say them.
