Tune: Easter Hymn
('Jesus Christ is risen today')
John 20 v.11-18
********
Lord of life and love and power - Alleluia!
Reigning o'er all every hour - Alleluia!
Now arisen from the dead - Alleluia!
You ever our living Head - Alleluia!
Behold! Tomb-stone rolled away - Alleluia!
Here the resurrection day - Alleluia!
May Magdalen she saw _ Alleluia!
Two angels, said, Weep no more - Alleluia!
She turned round in garden there - Alleluia!
Jesus did with her then share - Alleluia!
Though she knew not it was He - Alleluia!
Till He said, 'Mary', so be - Alleluia!
She said, 'Rabboni', 'Teacher' - Alleluia!
Belief, faith in her did stir - Alleluia!
Jesus said, Touch me not, I - Alleluia!
Am not yet ascended high - Alleluia!
But go to disciples, tell - Alleluia!
Them I am risen, know well - Alleluia!
Shall ascend to my Father - Alleluia!
And He be your Father sure - Alleluia!
And to my God my ascent - Alleluia!
Shall come to pass, He me sent - Alleluia!
And He your God, salvation - Alleluia!
Open now to each nation - Alleluia!

I’ve never seen the spelling of hallelujah that way, at least that’s how I read it.. enjoy your holiday. Nice poem.
Thank you D. The original hymn spells it as Alleluia. Same word though - different spellings.
Lovely Orchi. It is a great hymn most faithful to the scriptures. Very nicely done my friend
Thank you SB.
Most welcome Orchi Happy Easter
Orchi, there’s a bright, steady joy here…resurrection told with reverence and rhythm, anchored in that moment of being named. And somewhere nearby, Popeyeus Glug Maximus Solus is attempting a full Alleluia but keeps pausing mid-verse for a ceremonial glug, while Wan Ken just sighs, “oi be…not during the resurrection, old lad…” 😂🥬🙏 Now we know both Mary's and Obi's messages. Well done, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
At first quick read of your title I misread your moniker and thought it was your doppelganger (you know the one, tweet tweet and the beak - could be you) was sending a paean of love to his lady and had snuck in twice on one day... then I sussed it was you.. so Happy Easter to yer...
