And My River flowed,
Its clear green water
Flowed gently beside me.
The swans glided,
Glided gently on its surface,
The geese intermixed with them.
My River like My Spirit,
Will always be there
As I walk by its side
And will one day take me,
Take me to eternity
Where we will all meet up,
Meet up in time,
Where peace joy and love abound.

Andy: Do you mind if I clarify something which has wakened my curiosity? Very recently you disclosed that you were located in the Midlands. Now when on those occasions you have mentioned your river, a vision has accessed my head which saw you strolling beside your waterway in the bucolic richness of the West Country and as you rounded the bend, you produced a languid wave to Neville on the far bank dutifully exercising his hound with the long name.
However you now freely disclose that you reside in the Midlands and so it is with just general curiosity and nothing more that I wonder if you are prepared to disclose the name ascribed to this watercourse which is such a feature of your life?
Hi Dave, I live in Evesham. I was brought up in Rochester in Kent and moved when I was 50 after receiving a job offer in Coventry that I could not refuse. I have now lived in the same house for 27 years this year, my wife had dementia and passed from this world in December 2019. The River Avon flows through Evesham and it has been a lifeline for me.

Thanks for your further bio detail, Andy. Is that Avon the river Shakespeare was connected to?
Yes the same River lows through Stratford that is why its full name is Stratford-upon-Avon.

My Geography is getting better. Thanks Andy.
