Walking With My Lover By The Sea Sonnet.

Goldfinch60

Upon the shore where endless waves unfold,

I stroll with thee as dawn ignites the sky;

The salty breeze, the sunlight, blue and gold,

Reflects in laughter, sparkling in thine eye.

Together, footprints etch the shifting sand,

A fleeting mark, yet steadfast as our hearts.

With every tide, we walk hand in hand,

Nature’s sweet chorus playing its own parts.

The gulls above proclaim their morning song,

While distant sails drift gently on the foam.

In silent bliss, where we belong,

The sea becomes our haven, love our home.

So let the winds and waters ever be

Witness to joy, while walking by the sea.

                  An excellent sonnet Andy. One of my favorite pastimes, walking by the sea. My favorite line, "footprints etch the shifting sand." Now you've made me want to go there. Oh, well loved your poem. Phil A.

                  • Goldfinch60

                    Very much appreciated Phil, thank you.
