Hope keeps me guessing
Keeps me waiting as if in line
Keeps me expecting change
Wanting more
Wanting something that may never be
She entices
Keeps us reaching
Is she an illusion, a dream
Is she a fairytale
Where is the end to the waiting
Where is the end to the wanting
Do we give up hope
Will today suffice
Will what I’m dealt this moment be adequate
Can I give up hope
Can I sit with reality and be satisfied

Important questions raised in this poem. Nicely penned
Thanks so much for the feedback. : )
A poem of questions that add one upon the other. Personification of hope is well done here. Nicely written Katie
T}hanks so much for the feedback : )
You are most welcome Katie
Nice writing, Katie, a poem of questions.
Thank you Friendship
There's always hope (until there isn't).
Thank you for the feedback!
Hopefully, it’s good guessing 🙏🏻🕊️
Thank you Arqios!!
Katie… this carries that restless tension…those questions keep pulling forward without letting anything settle. I’ve been in that space between hoping and accepting, and you captured it in a real, grounded way. Strong piece, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
I genuinely appreciate the time and effort you put in to writing my reviews. It is much appreciated and helps me grow as a writer.
Time has two beauties. It goes by and it changes.
Be hopelessly hopeful.
God bless
Yes indeed! Thank you for the comments.
God Bless!

read this while also listening to a song that coincidentally felt like a match, especially with the last line of your poem
"maybe its a gift that i couldnt recognise
maybe i dont really wanna be satisfied
maybe its a gift that i spend all this time
just trying to feel alive"
i think hoping is us, trying to feel alive. thank you for sharing and making me reflect on this!
Thank you for taking the time to read my poem and your lovely feedback. It is greatly appreciated.
Katie
Never give up hope Katies as if we reached perfection for what would we want to do to go forwards.
