Boo hoo!

orchidee

Boo hoo!

Aww, why do I rarely get the meaning of cryptic stuff on 'ere?

Well, I only got 3 brain cells, so that don't help much!

But then I put my big foot in it

Interpreting summat incorrectly

Though in some in some cases

Poems can mean what we each want them to mean

I'm a confused laddie, I can tell ya

What with meters, metaphors, similies

What are they?

And conundrums such as:

Why is 'abbreviation' such a long word?!

And those acky things - acronyms, I mean

And those iambic pentameters

Are they architectural? Hmm.

There's iambic columns of stone, I think

And is a Haiku some sort of particular sneeze

As in 'Hai-choo?!'

And with a Tanka

Is it a way of saying 'Thank you?!'

Boo hoo! Oh woe!

But don't worry, says one who knows 99% of everything

The talking, barking one

I'll teach ya, Fido says

But I may baffle you too:

Is it 'Alleluia' or 'Hallelujah' or 'Halleluia' or what is it?

They're all the same really! lol.

Now you'll baffle me again with your long words

I thought that hippo..... word was summat to do with hippos - but no!

Wot is it again?

And wot does it mean?!

Now I've caused ya to waste

Oh I dunno, an average of 27 seconds

Reading this waffle! lol.

I've lost count

But it's Poem No. 373635493 or approximately

In me 'More Nuttiness' series!

Will ya stop that rambling? Fido asks me

And take ME on a ramble now!

Thank you A. Oh lol, a fellow companion of 'People with not many brain cells!'

Know what you mean. Sometimes I have to look at the 'Poem Analysis' to see what it's about. Dylan Thomas. Sylvia Plath etc.
      Good one.

Thank you K. I suppose it's worse if the poet him/herself dunno what the poem's about! If so, we've no chance of understanding it. lol.

Orchi… my friend, this is a cry from the depths…a soul wrestling with the vast, impenetrable machinery of poetic language itself. The confusion is real…meters, forms, meanings slipping through the fingers like smoke. You’ve captured that honest bewilderment…that moment where language feels bigger than the one trying to hold it. Truly…this is the human condition laid bare…

…and then Fido shows up like a tenured professor barking footnotes while the entire academy collapses into GLUGS…endless, echoing GLUGS spilling down the corridors of iambic columns as Obi ignites his saber with calm precision and Ol’ TomĆ”s—bless him—just stands there slapping a hand-knitted tube sock like it’s supposed to do something… ā€œIs it a pull cord?!ā€ he cries as the beam refuses to unsheath, GLUG GLUG GLUG, the scholars retreating, the haikus sneezing themselves into existence, ā€œHai-choo?!ā€ ringing across the chamber while Fido howls citations into the void… absolute chaos, my friend. 🤣 šŸ§ šŸ”„šŸŖžšŸ™

Thank you T. lol. Yes, absolute chaos here.
