The Orange Ordinance

Tristan Robert Lange

Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Friends, I’m doing my best to keep up with comments. 😅 I’m still current on my own poems and first replies on others’ work, but this season has been a bit of a twister. Figured I’d drop a quick note so you don’t think I’ve vanished or gone flaky.
Read. Write. Rise. Realize. 🤘💀🖤
There was a large and orange dope
Who trolled the world, an evil trope.
A bramble on his gourd,
While dressing as the Lord,
Made his case to divorce the pope.

Enjoy your humor, Yes, we have a very foolish leader......👍
Your poem revolves around the absurdity and irony of power dynamics, particularly in the context of religious authority and societal roles. It presents a satirical take on a figure ("a large and orange dope") who embodies characteristics of a tyrannical or foolish leader, juxtaposed against sacred institutions like the Pope. The poet touches on themes of authority, mockery of power, and the ludicrous nature of certain societal tropes.
