threads continue on

The room carries a few movements

at the same time, none asking to be first.

A single remark ends up doing the work

of the whole conversation without meaning to.

Two angles sit beside each other,

          neither folding into the other,

both steady in their own way.

One line settles the room, not by force,

just by being the place everyone returns to.

A reply moves slightly off to the side,

          keeping its own path

                    while the thread continues on.

Everything has its own place and contribution but in a larger picture it seems a whole. A most cubist style that makes me think of a poetic Picasso

Glad to tip the hat to Picasso every now and again. Thanks, Soren ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Rik, this moves through that quiet choreography of conversationโ€ฆlines holding their own space while still belonging to something larger. And that note about nearly three decades online...yeah, mind baffling it is, right? Great write. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

All yer gotta do is a 'good write' or 'nicely written' and you are covered - evidence that you did actually click on the page..........

Ah, in other site there are like buttons as well. Itโ€™s probably more a ping than an actual read. Scrolling is the mode of the day, it seems ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

                    • Doggerel Dave

'mode of the day'? Wot about engagement and communication ?

                      • arqios

I know, it feels like scrolling and spouting content is what's exchanging these days. That feels shallow and detached.

Those lines of life can go in differing ways Rik but they always bring us to this place we are in at the moment.

And that is where and when the moment counts! Thanks Andy๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ
