The dragon of Evil came
And started to take over,
Take over the country,
Bringing hate and evil to all.
But one man came,
Came and saw the troubles
And rode up to that dragon
And slew him to death,
Bring peace and glory to all.
He needs to come back,
Come back on his day,
This day when we celebrate,
Celebrate his caring and honour.
So where have you gone,
We need you back,
Back to fix our world.
So ride on back to us,
Ride back to us St George.

Good write Gold.
Thanks Orchi.
Dear Andy even one, We surely do need some Superheroes at the moment 🏴
We surely do Teddy, thank you.
Andy
Indeed we all need a St. George especially now days and I always wonder what metaphorical dragon he slew that was so fierce that it had to be cast metaphorically with scales and breathing fire. Well written Andy
Thank you soren, much appreciated.
Andy
Most welcome Andy
I think today it would be George and a big broom, starting at number 10.
Britain is a cesspit and it won't be long now till it implodes.
Very true Paul, thank you for your understanding words.
Andy
He rescued a maiden - anyone who volunteers to emulate his exploits had better be prepared to do more than that.
Fun write, Andy.
PS: Are there any maidens around left to rescue? (minor adaption of a hoary old joke !)
Very true Dave, but he did slay that dragon and we have many dragons in politics that need slaying.
There aren't many maidens around at my time of life. LOL
