Love Of Life Sonnet.

Goldfinch60

Upon the gentle dawn, my spirit wakes,

To breathe the golden air of morning’s light;

Each hour, a gift that hope and joy remakes,

As day unfolds, unfurling pure delight.

The song of thrush upon the budding tree,

Whispers of laughter in the sunlit lane,

Are threads which weave life’s vibrant tapestry,

A dance of blessings, mingling joy with pain.

Yet in the hush of evening’s soft embrace,

I find a grateful peace within my heart;

For every moment lived, each fleeting grace,

Is treasured, knowing soon I must depart.

So let me cherish life while breath remains,

And love its beauty, boundless as the plains.

    A fine write Gold. With 'soon depart' I read an awful piece about having a pet. It said that a pet usually departs before we humans do, so we have to face that heartbreak. But we enjoy pets for many years usually, while they are living.
    Not departing too soon there?!
