On a Road to Knossos
Such small white stone
domed houses
each set on green
hillsides amid vineyards
and olive groves ..
Sitting pretty like doves
all casually scattered
against a backdrop of
turquoise while the scent
of figs and wildflowers
simultaneously
caress each of my eyes
and my nostrils ..
Oh’ yes indeed my friend
that is precisely how
and where we found our
small priceless sliver of Crete ..

My sister with her husband, daughter and her partner just visited Greece and shared beautiful photos so I hope that one day we get to visit it too. Used to travel a lot but my husbands health has been challenging since he got GBS last year so traveling is limited to short distances at present
