It`s been said
To receive the requisite
Energy
To vault upwards
Toward the joy and ease
Of Spirit
We first need
To sink to the depths
Of despondency

Nicely said.
You say the word "nicely," nicely! Thanks for dropping by.
Most welcome
Mutley, this is a powerful pieceβ¦what stands out is the balance between descent and rise. You let the depth matter, not just the outcome, and that gives the whole thing its truth. Itβs restrained, but it lands. Well written, my friend. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
Thanks, Tristan. I kind of "stole" the idea. It made a big impression on me.
Just when it feel likes weβre at the bottom ehβ¦ we can only go up
The deeper we go, the more power is added to the spring. Having said that, I don`t want to hit rock bottom...again!
It is the difference between the two that contrast that gives the highs their extasy and the lows their damnation. Well written
Thanks, Soren. Old Paradox working its magic again!
Most welcome
And rise from there ποΈπ
For sure! We`d run out of breath before long, stuck on the sea floor.
Been stuck there once, horror of horrors. The corals aren't kind to human skin/flesh as well. ποΈπ
I know what you mean, Arqios. You described it perfectly. For me, time slowed down to a snail`s pace. The past was a nightmare of regret, shame, guilt etc. The future was a dark abyss of futility. The present was unbearable. Where was I to turn? Then the mind started to lose it`s bearings. I felt the approach of insanity. The price of taking life, and oneself too seriously?!
A high price, indeed! ππ»ποΈ

this is sometimes quite true - only after sinking into the depths of despair does one realize the true value of release; and soar upwards
You nailed it, Nafisa!
I hope so π thanks ππΌ take careπ
You are hilarious.
Unintentionally!
