DISTANT WHISPER

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

A distant whisper
Trapped in echo
Of a time
Now distant gone
In the colour
Of the rainbow
A long forgotten
Summer sun.

Where grass it danced
In meloncholy
Vision hazy
Early years
Of a lost love
Singing sweetly
On warm days
Unaware.

Yes distant whisper
Trapped in echo
Your call transfixed
As memory sways
Many thanks
For returning
From those sweet
Summer days.

Nostalgic, warm memories and the passage of time. Well done

Well written. Your poem delves into themes of reminiscence, loss, and the beauty of fleeting moments. It captures the essence of childhood innocence and the warmth of summer experiences, contrasting them with the inevitable passage of time.

Norman, this carries a gentle, reflective weightโ€ฆ memory, distance, and something still lingering beneath it all. The way it moves feels natural, like drifting back without warning. It stays with you. Beautifully done, my friend. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›
