Gone

sorenbarrett

I moved leaving everything behind, taking only smoke visions and dreams
A conscience soothed into a new world blind, where nothing is what it seems
Lighter than air the burden I bear, skies free of dark clouds
Striped bare I wander there in the lee of any crowds

Most beautiful, to be freed to wander without a care in the world, I did this once iny life and I'm still on that cloud! 🌹

Nicely written. Your poem revolves around the act of moving on from one’s past, leaving behind physical possessions and emotional baggage. It touches upon themes of transformation, self-discovery, and the contrast between reality and illusion.

There is an immediate benefit from escaping one’s past and inner conflict thereby creating a sense of real lightness, but it may also lead to disconnection, unreality, and a loss of grounded identity. It appears that it never is a win-win 🕊️🙏
