I'm a song writer lost
within my own life lyrics
every time I try to write
I hear inside my mind all the critiques
I don't want to fail
life's dream in my hands
I don't want to fail
my soul and spirit is my band
maybe one day I'll shine?
maybe one day I'll be noticed?
until that day comes
got to keep myself focused
I don't want to fail
life's dream in my hands
I don't want to fail
my soul and spirit is my band
when day turns to night
paper ripped on floor
the waste paper basket
can’t take anymore
I don't want to fail
life's dream in my hands
I don't want to fail
my soul and spirit is my band
I’ll never give up
I'll fight till the end
my song will be written
and my mind then will rest
I don't want to fail
life's dream in my hands
I don't want to fail
my soul and spirit is my band
If you listening to this
my soul and spirit has won
since the day I was born
my journey begun
I'm a song writer lost
but now I am found
from the ashes I rose
to fulfill my life's plan
so listen to my story
listen to my song
listen to my spirit
one day I'll be gone
with a smile
with a smile
one day I’ll be gone
gone with a smile.

A lovely song Teddy of wanting to be remembered for what one has done and accomplished. A song of continual effort that pays off. Well done my friend
Thank you dearest sorrenbarret 🌹
Most welcome Teddy
Dearest Teddy, this carries real heart from beginning to end. I especially loved how the poem moves through frustration, persistence, self-doubt, and finally toward acceptance without ever losing its sincerity. And that repeated ending...“with a smile”...is filled with a deeply human tenderness. Powerful lyrics, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thank you so much dearest Tristan 🌹
But you won't be going yet Teddy, your words are too good to be without.
Andy
Andy you do know how to make me smile ❤️ if I ever have my lyrics sung by a real artist then I will go with a smile but today it is you that brings me that smile thank you. 🌹
🌹🍷❤️
This carries the sound of someone writing through doubt instead of waiting for it to leave—raw, persistent, and human in the way it refuses to stop reaching for the song underneath the noise.
There’s a quiet grit in it, like the struggle itself is already part of the music.
Thank you my dear Thomas, I put it as a blues track it's amazing on sound. 🌹
