what actually is

arqios

"what actually is"

moving through a city route,
noting the way a bus door opens,
the way two strangers negotiate space

    at a crossing,
        the way afternoon light
            angles across a shopfront,

            all rendered in a single,
    continuous line that feels improvised
but what actually is deliberate.

This poem speaks to the mind asking what is coincidence and what is planned, what is correlation and what is causation. Introducing man and city creations brings into mind what is real what is not what is man created and what is nature and are we not nature as well and all this just our perspective. Nicely done Cryptic. I think I dove too deep this time

Not at all dear Soren, very much in that state while observing whilst within oneโ€™s skin and milieu ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

        a most observant write

Wow, arqiosโ€ฆthereโ€™s something mesmerizing about the observational stillness in this. The poem moves like a wandering camera lens catching ordinary human motion and quietly transforming it into meaning. The ending reframes the whole thing in such a subtle, satisfying way. Strong work, my friend. A fave for sure. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

Good write A. I did a rough version called 'Wot is?' or 'Wot is wot?!' (Did I? lol). Well, if Soren made deep comments, there's no knowing what tangent I may go off on, if I do too much 'thinking'. lol.

But some say - too much thinking is dangerous, How would I know - I never think too much to find out! heehee.

I try to find something new or interesting at pretty much every stop, details to ward off boredom. Nice work here.

The meticulous observation is actually impressive and may I say a romantic view of every day life! Amazing poem
