Stars wish for nothing
They shine without
Knowing how
They give rise to wishers
As they melt the night sky
Abundant, scattered
Yet each is known
Their evening dance
A ritual
Mystery holds them apart
The moon
Matron of the stars
Guardian of the night
Consequential
Bearer of light
In the blistered sky
Celestial bodies
Lay weary souls
To rest
A painted sky
Bids goodnight

Thank you so very much. It is greatly appreciated!
Katie, this has such a soft celestial beauty to it. The stars, the moon, the weary souls at restβ¦it all comes together like a peaceful ritual unfolding overhead. Lovely write, my friend. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
