Falling down

sorenbarrett

Flat is flat and that is that, one may take a spill on a hill so keep it on the level
Dull is drole so when in a hole don't loose your soul, don't bet with the devil

What is happening to you, Soren?
        So simple and direct...

        • sorenbarrett

Traveling Dave between air stops not much time to get complicated, just lucky to find wifi and review a few dozen comments. Will be back to normal in a day or two. So nice you noticed my old friend

          • Doggerel Dave

I seem to remember you were travelling not so long ago, but thought you had reached your destination. Where will you be when this trip is over?

            • sorenbarrett

I did travel back to Florida and now am going back to Brazil

Wow, you made me work overtime on this poem. It was short, yet the painting you painted was powerful.
Your poem brilliantly illuminates the profound journey of descent and the transformative power of resilience, empowering us to rise above adversity and discover our inner strength in the face of challenge. The vivid imagery of hills and holes spectacularly captures life's unpredictable journey and the vital role of self-reflection in navigating its complexities. Yet at the end, the poet likely aims to impart wisdom, reminding us readers to stay mindful of our choices and the inherent risks in life. You encourage a level-headed approach to navigating challenges, advocating for self-awareness and caution.

So well stated my friend. Your interpretation captures it all. Thanks so much for the review and comment

You're very welcome, my friend. I offer apologies for overanalyzing your poem, but your words crafted a distinctive image. As my grandfather, whom I affectionately call Pop pop, would say, I have a tendency to diagnose words much like he diagnoses patients - some individuals possess the insight to perceive patients, while others can decipher a written word, interpreting the thoughts that are put into writing; it seems I've inherited this ability. I don't know if this makes any sense to you.

Soren, this is magnificently minimal and delightfully quirky 🀣 The bouncing rhyme and wordplay keep it light, but there’s still a sly little moral caution sitting underneath the humor. Fun write, my friend. πŸŒΉπŸ–€πŸ™πŸ•―οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›
