Blue Skies and Thunderstorms

I've learnt that some thunderstorm
can turn me into
a person
I no longer recognize in the mirror 
 
that's when I find my courage 
and personal strength  
standing alone is my greatest tool 
because I am the owner of my life
my dreams, my beliefs and my road 
 
and it's true if I'm really lucky
I get to choose 
who I walk my paths with
 
that's why
I must always choose wisely
 
 
making the right choices
may just blaze my trail 
all the way
to magnificent blue skies.
