the Past is the Present

ViolenceEndeavour

i remember.

You used to yell,

Your temper as short

as i was back then.

the fear i would feel,

if i made a mistake

when i see You to this day,

i still feel my heart quake.

but You were the one

shining that light to my eyes,

when it burnt into my skull,

was the damage a surprise?

You made me who i am now.

yet i always let You down,

and that’s why I’m happier

When you’re not around.

I can’t tell exactly if this about a partner,or a parent, but either way it resonates with me,and it makes me so greatful that whatever we went through separately,we can both say it made us who we are today.Keep your head up.
