Who's not signed their soul over to the Illuminati?
Re-treading over my dreams hard and not softly.
Why does my mind race while others are at a snails pace?
What determines the dramas that each of us will face?
Are emotional states determining predestined fates?
I get my small Bible out and read like my name is Ma$e.
Some say God is within and not an external being,
A bunch of bullshit lies is all I seem to be really seeing.
Only one source has the power to remove threatening attacks,
Many feel unrested spiritually, can't face the buried facts.
Endless scientific explanations have never appealed to me,
Mind numbingly boring like 12 hours of watching TV.
The new Minions movie seems to be about summoning demons,
Why the hell do they expose the kids to these wicked procedures?

Shaun, that line about reading “like my name is Ma$e” caught me immediately. It brings this very modern, cultural texture into the spiritual searching underneath the poem. The contrast between faith, conspiracy, media, and exhaustion gives the whole thing a frantic honesty. Strong piece, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
