Dreams
oh, miserable dreams
can I ever dream of anything
but misery?
a celler so dark
deep within my heart
I wonder if it will ever end?
I wonder if it ever could?

Dreams so often imaged as something to look forward to, a hope, wish, desire. But here they are dark and miserable more of a nightmare. The are something to be dreaded and feared. A sad composition of what is and felt will never change. The poem is heavy and restless a burden to be carried. Well written my friend.
Exactly right dear sorrenbarret when we have trauma our minds work 24 hours a day whether we like it or not. I hope to have some sweet dreams soon. Thank you dear friend 🌹
Teddy…this really hit me hard. The simplicity of it makes the ache feel even more immediate…like a thought whispered to yourself in the middle of the night when there’s nowhere left to hide from it. “a cellar so dark / deep within my heart” lingers heavily. Powerful part of your Raven collection, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Dearest Tristan I was very lucky to learn from some of the best poets of my time, and one thing amongst so many things they taught me, is sometimes less is more, which I have tried to demonstrate here and I appreciate your acknowledgement of that. Thank you dear friend, as soon as this nightmare period ends I'll be back to being me but once again I'm in a cloud of the unknown. 🌹 Biggest of hugs my dear friend.
