WINGED MESSENGER

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

The messenger sings
Soft notes to the sky
Hardened by ages
Marble of eye
Pastel in colour
The artist divine
Winged and in essence
Feathered by time.

Portraits in danger
Reflections of dust
Dark mirrored angles
Of savage blood lust
Reckless the wanderer
Times open step
Deep in minds cave
The longing is kept.

Open your wings
Let timeless words fly
Deep from your heart
Beneath an alien sky
That watches in wonder
No longer afar
Keep locked your secrets
Bright is your star.

Makes me think of the Muse with wings that restores and revives. It brings an encouragement toward authentic expression while preserving the deeper mysteries of the self. A Fave! 🙏🕊️

Norman, wow…this is one hauntingly beautiful piece, my friend. The poem moves like a vision…part prophecy, part dream, part meditation beneath the stars. I especially love how the wing imagery carries through the poem, giving it this sense of ascent despite the shadows and bloodlust woven underneath. There’s real mystery and atmosphere here. Wonderful work, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
