Onto the stage they came,
Six guys with their instruments.
As they started playing
A smile came to my face
And to the faces of many others.
Feet were tapping,
Heads were nodding,
As these guys enthralled us,
Enthralled us with their sounds,
Their wonderful sounds
That took us to New Orleans
Where this jazz was born.
Such a wonderful evening was had
Full of music and humour.
I don’t know what happened,
What happened to the time,
It just flew by
As these guys took us to that place,
That place where jazz is king.
This was one of the best,
One of the best evenings I’ve had,
I’ve ever had at the club.
And all I can say now is
They must come back again,
The Alvar Tree Frogs must come back.
