Moon Light, Moon Light, Shining Bright;
Our Sentinel Loyal throughout the Night,
Look on us a Kindly Face,
We're not quite all an incorrigible Race.
Moon Light, Moon Light, Shining Bright;
The Beacon Royal of Poets delight,
Though Centuries come and Centuries go,
You Witness all life's troublous flow:
Of Wars and Hate that fill our days;
The Inanity Carnival of Boisterous ways.
Moon Light, Moon Light, Shining Bright,
The great Appraiser from on height,
In Judgement Hold - for this may sway:
For Lover's Hearts will have their way.

- Comment from author about the poem: This was originally going to be a Children's Poem. Hence the First line that repeats. But another Idea grabbed the Wheel and took it in another out the way direction.

It has such a soft feel initially and I guess that would go with a child's poem Nicely done

Yes. Thank you for Reading and your Comment.
That had the feel of starlight, starbright until it took hold of its own destiny. Your spark is shining, Kevin. ποΈπ

Superb work.
Thank you Thomas. π
Kevin, this really moved me. Thereβs something timeless about the way you address the moon here...almost like an old prayer offered into the night. The reverence and wonder carry all the way through. Wonderful write, my friend. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
