What To Do When Molehills Become Mountains

What To Do When Molehills Become Mountains

it is without doubt true,

that whilst one man’s meat may

   be another man’s poison ..

when a single molehill becomes

a mountain-range sized

obstacle for the whole of mankind

then it must either be

conquered, or climbed and then,

safely disposed of until

written about and contained in a

textbook journal, to be

read out loud and vilified around

warm, cozy campfires,

public bars and private boudoirs ..

to serve as a lesson to

everyone, that bullies will always

be outed, or trumped

and that evil, shall never prevail ..

but rather justice,

tolerance and peace shall rule in

the eye of the beholder

until some other crazy comes along ..

  • Comment from author about the poem: believe it or not, this is not a war poem .. it is meant to represent quite the opposite .. but be sure to believe me when I highlight the fact that orange is indeed the new black ..

Good write N. I mentioned 'prevail' in my poem too, just 5 minutes ago!

I hope that's pure coincidence and not a precursor to war .. Cheers regardless Orchidee .. Neville

What it's a precursor to is that I will continue being 'orrible to KP! lol. Why change the habit of a lifetime - or in my case, a prison sentence/ marrying her? heehee.

Don't tell that to Donald Trump. Either way he take orange being the new black he won't like it. A good read my friend where one man's obstacle becomes another man's challenge then accomplishment turned to disbelief and nothing that can be believed in a world of fake, CGI, AI. Loved the write a fave good to see you back Neville

There’s a wry, almost fireside certainty in thisβ€”like someone trying to turn chaos into a moral everyone can carry home.

And what makes it land is that last turn… the recognition that even hard-won peace is never really final, just temporarily held in place by the next human storm.

Your thoughts on the matter to hand are more than merely most welcome Guv'nor .. Thanks terribly .. Neville

Neville, this really hit me hard. There's a righteous fire running through this piece...a refusal to shrug at harm or pretend it will somehow sort itself out on its own. The conviction here is palpable. Wonderful write, my friend! πŸŒΉπŸ–€πŸ™πŸ•―οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›

Many thanks Tristan .. Your opinion matters no end .. Neville πŸ˜ŽπŸ–€πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸ¦β€β¬›πŸ‘

Ambivalent attitude towards orange - wristwatch as protest against or signal that I don't own a mobile....syringe head... but for the rest, especially a certain head of state (and what a state)....neva mind, I'll get my shit together eventually, which is more than my expectation for the rest of the world....
Good to see you take it on, Neville.

Under the circumstances you outlined, I am inclined to thank you even more than I would any other pooch I am currently inclined to call my literary friend .. Good to have you stop by and am glad you are still knocking around Dave, Cheers .. Neville

Having taken all factors into consideration.. I think...so am I !
