In winter too cold, in summer too hot
Spring rain's too bold in the fall it blows a lot
Too early in the morning, too late at night
The alarm clock shouts a warning, bury your head pull covers up tight
I don't feel good today, it's a holiday tomorrow
Got a flat on my way, tank and pocket empty gas I have to borrow
It's not that I'm mean but I've got dignity you know
Who me clean a latrine I got somewhere to go
I'm a hard worker and would love to help you out
Surely I'm no shirker but it's Sunday and I'm devout

Most welcome, Soren.🙏🏻🕊️
There’s a sly humor running through this—every excuse dressed up like principle, every dodge wearing a clean shirt.
It lands because we’ve all heard that voice before, the one that swears it’s willing… just not right now.
Thanks so much my friend. Yes Thomas you have put it right and your encouragement is most appreciated
May your speaker one day find a season when neither the weather, nor the hour, nor anything else stands in the way of joy. A delightful and insightful poem.
Thank you Soheil for the read and comment it is most appreciated. Indeed should such a day arrive an excuse would be found if not invented.
You are welcome. The human mind is wonderfully creative when it comes to finding reasons to postpone what must be done. Your poem conveys this timeless truth with delightful humor.
Soren, haha, you got me with this one. The excuses just keep piling up higher and higher until they become impossible not to laugh at. There is a lot of playful charm in this piece, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thanks so much my friend for the read and comment. Yes at times things get to such a point that all one can do is laugh

I can't seem to find much inspiration beyond 'good write / fine write' sometimes, on people's poems.
