What a day!
What a match!
There we were playing,
Playing our croquet match,
Twenty games to be played.
I went onto the lawn,
Went to play doubles,
Played with my best friend.
We played well
And we won that first game.
The day went on
And I played singles,
Played four singles.
Won the first three
And in the fourth
Played Jeff
The opposition captain,
A fine player who ha beaten me,
Beaten me before,
But not to day.
I won fairly easily
I had played five games in all
And had one them all.
What a great day I had had,
Playing the game I love.

- Comment from author about the poem: We played a croquet match yesterday and I won all five of the games I played but unfortunately lost the match 11 games to 9, but I did my bit.

A fine day Gold.
It certainly was Orchi, thank you.
Sounds like a good time and it is always good to know that one did their best to contribute even in a group loss. Nicely said Andy
Most kind and much appreciated soren, thank you.
Andy
Very welcome Andy
