If I was
To dream no more
Alone upon
A distant shore
In isolation
Love to weep
Between the echo
Of my sleep.
If I was
To think of you
Observing still
The sea of blue
The seabirds
In frantic flight
Fearful of
Approaching night.
If I was
To close my eyes
Picture again
Happier times
The tender moments
Now flown away
Leaving sadness
In a lonely day.

Most delightful poem, friend 🕊️🙏🏻
thanking you always appreciated
Very welcome, Norman 🙏🏻🕊️
Good write N. If you was waiting for a bus, how many lines of a poem would it take to describe the situation?! lol. And would it be 18+ with plenty of ^"*%#&^%!! in it?
there would be a lot of FFFs and BBBs lol
Norman, this carries such a gentle sadness, my friend. There is a quiet longing running through it that feels very sincere. I found myself lingering in the memories right alongside the speaker. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thanking you, as always, much appreciated read
