Go old god of gold light the log and call the dog
Tear wet water of a tear, rate at war wear a rat of tar
If is the middle word in life, file it down to a lie

Well, play with words. Your poem explores themes of confusion, contradiction, and the complexity of existence. It hints at the struggles of communication and understanding in life, suggesting that clarity is often obscured by chaos. Overall, the poet seeks to engage the reader in contemplating the nature of truth, the absurdity of life, and the ways we navigate our emotions and relationships through language. It encourages a deeper reflection on how we express and perceive meaning in a chaotic world.
Thank you so much Friendship for your deep dive in interpretation of this poem it is most appreciated
Good write SB. The words in KP's name can be broken down into 'old trout' - probably! lol.
Thanks Orchi for the read and comment It will take me a while to figure out how you can get eight letters out of two but then I might have to leave that for smarter people.
Soren, what I enjoyed most here is the playful exploration of sound and meaning. The shifting words feel almost kaleidoscopic...one slight turn and something familiar becomes something entirely different. By the end, I was equal parts amused, intrigued, and suspicious that language may be up to something behind our backs. Wonderfully done, my friend. A fave for more than one reason. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
Thank you my friend for the read and for the openness to see it for what it is. I have always been intrigued by the building of words and the etymology of them. Coincidence is part and so is history. Just thought I would play a bit between writes while the muse returns.
American politics, come to think of it world politics π€£
