The rain which fell
Disguised the pain
Acute and deep
A falling veil
Each memory
To scratch my eyes
Secluded tears
Proclaimed lies.
No bitterness
The crime too new
Its ragged edges
Cut right through
To deeper thought
Motion picture played
Sound now muted
Nothing gained.
Betrayal etched
In diamond eyes
Yet somewhere
A soul that tried
But lifes freedom
Never went away
Its arms outstretched
To you, its prey.

I see - you were betrayed - someone said to you 'There will be a bus along in 5 minutes time' - and then you waited 3 hours!
yes but it still never turned up lol
Doh! lol.
As I read this poem of in and out I became hypnotized with its flow and indeed did become its prey. Well done.
most kind, many thanks much appreciated
You are very welcome Norman
Rain, useful in so many ways!
so true, thanks much appreciated
Most welcome 🙏🏻🕊️
Norman, this carries a deep ache, my friend. The sadness here feels fresh and unvarnished, as though the speaker is still trying to make sense of the wound while standing inside it. There is a quiet power in that honesty. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
thanking you, it is very much appreciated
Powerful words Norman showing the pain that can happen in life sometimes but hopefully it turns to goodness in the end.
Andy
