BETRAYAL

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

The rain which fell
Disguised the pain
Acute and deep
A falling veil
Each memory
To scratch my eyes
Secluded tears
Proclaimed lies.

No bitterness
The crime too new
Its ragged edges
Cut right through
To deeper thought
Motion picture played
Sound now muted
Nothing gained.

Betrayal etched
In diamond eyes
Yet somewhere
A soul that tried
But lifes freedom
Never went away
Its arms outstretched
To you, its prey.
