I awake in the morning,
I get up and look out the window.
The glorious dawn light
Shines upon me,
Upon my body,
Upon my soul,
And I know that I am alive.
Each day I arise,
I know it will be a good day.

I'm a gloom and doom merchant, saying - and then it rained! heehee. Good write Gold.
Thank you Orchi.
A positive attitude reflected in the appreciation of the dawning day. Nicely said and very encouraging Andy
Most kind soren, thank you.
Andy
You are very welcome Andy
One of the first musicals Iād seen as a child. Some winter mornings are good as well, a bit of a rarity but hopeful, as well. šš»šļø
It was probably one of the first musicals I saw as well Rik, thank you for comments.
Andy
I think it was in B&W as well until I saw the coloured rerun.
This feels like morning breathing. "Upon my body, upon my soul" is the heart of it. It trusts the light instead of dressing it up. Nicely written!
Thani you Salvia, much appreciated.
Andy
