Lock all doors, to the mind,
surrender to the norm,
that’s our life, designed; so blind,
where courtesy is torn,
all fall down, whilst reading feed,
to stay online, below,
thus, there are; no friends indeed,
I spit on your nod hello!
Social distancing’s not new,
we’ve always, been on guard,
as eye to eye, the glare says shoo!
Consideration’s charred,
no warmth, is pop culture,
let all money go,
to make hero into vulture,
I spit on your nod hello!
Curb a simple handshake,
to touch you; is unclean,
trendy allergies do quake,
scripting shallow scene,
which cancels invitation,
for humanity to grow,
hence, celebrate cessation,
I spit on your nod hello!

- Comment from author about the poem: Seeing as it is still "Pride Month", I thought I would delve deeper into some of the parameters, that now comprise such a "negative normality", as a result of "pride's" misuse. An overbearing overconfidence, shallow standoffishness, the gruesome measurement of worth via material gain, and a overwhelming capacity of untrusting, are such parameters that comprise such a "negative normality", as a result of humanity's constant ignorance, or "downright" destruction, of common decency and sense. In evaluation, this says to me, that a purpose of humanity, is to misuse pride in order to spread, and sustain, a grotesque celebration of division and dissatisfaction. You "can't" even nod at someone to say hello anymore, because of this. It's really, really sad, that such a design for life continues, via such bone idle cowardice, that refuses to entertain a change for the better. It also, gets me to ask this question: how can there be, such a sense of unity, when every modern person's, fleshling robot's mind , or (CPU), is hardwired to remain locked in a gated community!? With that said, I give you this poem. I hope that you enjoy and take something from this, please, please, please, let's make it work, and as always please do stay safe in the madness everyone!

Another's sexuality was never my business as much as their pocketbook or family origin. I judge a book by its contents and story and don't listen to critics but form my own opinion. I care less about what others think and will nod if I wish. Nicely written
Thanks for the read, and for your wonderfully worded, and beautifully defiant comment, (or ultimatum; I should say) sorenbarrett, it is very much appreciated.
I very much like what you have said, as it is a mantra that celebrates an individual's right to choose to be them, and not to be so lazily drawn to a poisonous popular opinion, in order to be amongst the "in crowd"!
Thanks again, and I hope that all is well.
Ir ia my pleasure and hope is all well with you
I would love to shake you hand Ben.

Thanks for the read and for your short and sweet comment, Andy, it is very much appreciated, and I too would like to shake your hand!
Perhaps, also, to share a decent pint with you sometime too, eh?
Thanks again, and I hope that all is well.
I don’t care who anyone sleeps with as long as it’s between adults; what matters is being good people, doing good, and loving deeply
Thanks for the read and for your heartwarming comment, of which I wholeheartedly agree with Carlos, it is very much appreciated.
I hope that all is well.
