Dust

Aa Harvey

Dust.

I’m here ‘til the bitter end.

Are you coming down with me? Or shall I try again,

With someone I don’t know half as much as I know you.

You used to be someone I loved and I guess I still do.

You used to somebody I saw and a woman I knew.

So what do you choose? Shall we give this love a chance?

I think we should do. I think we could have some laughs,

As we travel this eternal cosmos.

Are you with me? Or are we already lost?

We found each other once.

You saved me from my long walks.

You raised me up to my full height.

If the choice was mine, I would have you in my life.

Sure we could just be friends,

Who slowly drift apart,

But where’s the fun in that?

Instead, let’s exchange hearts,

And go arm in arm until the end of time.

Let’s see this a good night while the stars still shine.

When the sun arises,

We can plan a new future for us.

All I need you to know is,

I’m searching for a woman to be with,

Until my bones are turned into dust.

A poetic offer of union for as long as life lasts. Nicely written

Thank you. Until the end of time is the only kind of love we need.

You are most welcome. I suppose that would be correct
