The religions are there,
Buddhism, Muslimism and Christianity
Trying to teach people their way,
Their way in religion.
But organise religion is a farce
As Buddha was not a buddhist,
Muhammad was not a muslim,
And Jesus was not a Christian.
They were teachers,
Teachers who taught love,
Love was their religion.
Why can people not understand that
We should all learn to love,
And love will make the world strong,
Strong and full of peace.

- Comment from author about the poem: I used to be a christian and was a chaplain for a while but dismissed my religion when my wife had dementia and died from it, she was a christian all her long life but where was it during her illness!

Good write Gold. I wouldn't say you've given it up completely, even if you've given up being 'religious'.
There is the thing too, that 'christian' was first use in a derogatory way in the New Testament writings.
