The raindrops dance
On fallen leaves
Which lost the will
On sorrowed dreams
The aching heart
Is hid from view
An untied bow
A love for you.
It is not lost
But somehow yet
It rides the breeze
Of memorys step
Its tenderness
Its sweetened kiss
A longing deep
Its soul to miss.
What now is vague
A ghostlike eye
To recollect
The pining sky
Somewhere far
Too faraway
In days that danced
Their time away.

Our modern day grinds us down so much βtil the pining is scrubbed away, such a sad state of affairs.

Most welcome dear friend ππ»ποΈ
Norman this poem to me is melancholic and sadly wistful of a past loss yearned for love. It is most lovely in its writing and images and is a fave
most kind my friend, thanking you very much appreciated
You are very welcome
Norman, what a beautiful reflective piece. The movement from loss to memory feels natural, and the imagery gives the poem a dreamlike quality without losing its emotional center. That final thought of days that "danced their time away" is a lovely way to leave the reader quietly reflecting. Beautiful work, my friend. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
