THE DREAMERS DREAM

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

Sunshine bathes
A sleeping eye
Whose twitching movement
Does not pry
It dwells within
A dreaming land
Of constant waves
To static sands.

Foot prints left
Times intertwine
Past, present, future
Now combine
Hopes and thoughts
Like ribboned flame
Move in dance
Heartbeat untamed.

Soon the moment
A babe in arms
Will meet the hour
Of sleeping time
Returned to face
Lifes rigid thought
The dreamers dream
Eternity sought.

I think I saw the no 7 but it was like one of those ghost ships it suddenly disappeared, I could faintly hear the buzzer for the stop but then it was gone lol

Forgive me Norman I had to read this three times to appreciate the beauty of it. It is really most masterful and conveys a truly lovely evolution of thought. A fave

Dreams are excellent except when they are not. Last night I wrote two complete poems in my dream. Of course I couldn't pull them out from memory this morning. 🙏🕊️

Norman, what a beautiful poem. The imagery flows so naturally that it feels less like reading and more like slipping into a dream yourself. By the end, the gentle meditation on time, life, and eternity leaves a lasting impression. Wonderful write, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
