"between them"
The poet touches the water first.
The spring shivers
— in spite a warmth
of recognition.
It knows the hand that stirs it.
Later, the reader
touches the same water
. The spring shivers again,
but differently
, because a different mind
has entered its surface.
The poem is the ripple
that travels between them.

Masterful my friend this poem holds so much meaning. It travels not only in ripples on the surface but has depth as well. Water what a symbol, a deeply meaningful metaphor from the Tao to the Bible. Softness, yet the persistent wearing power to shape rock, force to move mountains yet life giving, It cleanses and destroys,. It takes all shapes. In this poem it feels, communicates with vibrations, senses recognizes. It not only sends the message but is the message. Water is poetry and song. A most lovely poem that is as quiet as pond on a summer morning and yet as powerful as a tidal wave. A fave

And Sometimes People may get a different Interpretation of a Poem than was planned.
A good Write.
Thatβs almost a hundred percent given! And still we engage in poetry. Amazes me to no end ππ»ποΈ
Beautiful poem, Rik. You capture something profound about the relationship between creation and reception. The writerβs intention remains present, yet every interpretation brings another dimension beyond their control. As both a poet and reader, I find that endlessly fascinating...something deeply personal becomes equally authentic within another person. Brilliantly expressed and a fave, my friend. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
That just made my day, Tittu. It's so easy to get things wrong these days. πποΈ
