A shimmering constellation behind the Eyes
throbs in the temples, a slow and heavy rhythm
—not an ailment, but a cosmos waking up.
Headache: that’s what they call
the pressure of existence,
that insistent sense of language
pushing through the skull.
It is the poetic inevitability of the word,
a solar system burning in grey matter,
each pulse an asteroid, a path
for letters that have nowhere else to go.
Star‑patterns of pure pressure tighten,
a milky way of unspoken lines behind the eye.
The brain is too small for the infinity of being,
so the universe cracks open in glorious pain.
You seek the dark,
the quiet, the empty,
but inside, the constellation
keeps shining: existence insisting,
star after star, until the cosmos speaks
and silence breaks.

Cryptic I imagined the nervous system as the cosmos as I read this, neurons, dendrites, synapses, chemical interactions, receptor sites, neurotransmitters, positive negative charges, sodium potassium pump all firing in synchrony a cosmos a universe within the brain. Nicely done Cryptic
And going on to the plant kingdom we see such correspondence and similitudes as well. Thanks Soren. 🙏🏻🕊️
You are most welcome Cryptic. Indeed it is true. At most any level there are similarities in structure and interactions at the molecular level, atomic level bonds made forces in place if not gravity, electrical, magnetic all of which Tesla may well have said are the same at different levels.
a fine write my friend, pulsating lines
Glad of it, thanks friend🙏🏻🕊️
always welcome
A headache becomes a universe here, pain transformed into something strangely beautiful.
The poet’s curse and gift collide—too many stars burning inside one small human skull.
Good write A.
If the Aspirins don't work on a Headache, I have a Pistol on standby.🤕 Unusual to compare a Headache to the Universe. But the Brain as this vast System of Stars and Galaxies. I can see your point. Well Written Poem.
Also when Typing the word Poem, does anyone keep typing Piem all the time. Drives me Mad . Now where's that Pistol?.
Arqios, this is absolutely mesmerizing. Creativity becomes something immense and almost unbearable here…a universe demanding release through the fragile limits of the human mind. Brilliant work, my friend! 🌌🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛

That light will always be there for us all, Rik.
