There we were walking,
Walking gently by Our River.
We were hand in hand
Enjoying the peace and love,
The peace and love we have,
We have between us.
When suddenly there was a noise,
A meeting was going on,
A meeting between seven pigeons,
Seven pigeons sitting on a rail
Looking at each other
Obviously discussing life.
An amazing sight it was
The way they sat on the fence.
We let them continue
And walked further along Our River
With a smile on our faces,
Admiring the scenes,
The wonderful scenes we see,
We see when walking by Our River.

A lovely, peaceful poem. The personification of the pigeons "discussing life" gives the poem warmth and gentle humor.
Most kind soheil, thank you.

A serene sight on a calm walk with one loved what could be better than to encounter a meeting of pigeons. A very calming read Andy.

You are welcome Andy
A fine write Gold.
Thank you Orchi.
Good one, Andy. I think the "meeting" members were jealous of your arms and hands. Maybe they were voting on the differences between species. Hope you had a great walk. - Phil A.
Possibly very true Phil. We always enjoy walking by Our River and will do for many years to come.
