Caught a glimpse
Of you today
A grimmanced smile
That didnt say
Words now lost
Which waved goodbye
Footsteps that lead
To an angry sky.
The bleakness sighed
The stoney ground
Too many people
All around
We became old
In a blinking eye
Hidden thoughts
Of you and I.
In evening skies
Of rolling cloud
Moments resurface
Without sound
Music plays
From long ago
Hearts and minds
Which long to know.

There is a sense of melancholy mixed with nostalgia where the past leaves a mystery. Nicely done Norman

A fine write N. The sky is not the only angry thing as we wait for that bus! lol.
thats true, next stop please lol
Norman, what a poignant piece. The gentle rhythm and reflective tone make it feel like paging through old memories, each one carrying a little more longing than the last. The ending leaves the heart quietly searching alongside the poem. Beautifully done, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
