Your tears
They cut deep
Mental illness
From you speaks
Our arguments
Wild and strong
Between father
And his son.
The darkest days
Have cut you deep
Stressed and tired
Unable to sleep
Seeing danger at
Your every turn
Whispers are plots
Your brain to burn.
Yet in a smile
A you of old
Memories which
Are made of gold
I still believe
In a fathers heart
We can overcome
Make a fresh start.
