You and me will never be.

Aa Harvey

You and me will never be.

I love half of you.

I detest the rest.

I wanted our love to be forever true.

You’d always fail the test.

If we painted a picture,

It would always be left undone.

Our love would never have lasted.

You fly too close to the sun.

If the winter is coming,

I’d want to be at home with you,

But you would always be out there,

On your bladed skating shoes.

And when you were doing 360’s,

On your branded snow surfer board,

I’d be home with the lights on

And you would come home and be bored.

I guess its a cancer trait.

These sticks will play me out.

I’m just a quiet house mouse.

You want to scream and shout.

And when you’d argue with me,

I’d simply walk away.

You need the drug’n’bass songs,

I’m half the world away.

So nicely written this poem explores the world of difference and how it causes problems in a relationship, be it temperament or age differences can cause a rift. Well said

Thank you. Like I said before, some differences just can't be ignored and so what could have been good is never to be.

      Peace, Love and Empathy.
